  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c

How to make macaroni and cheese:

Melt butter in skillet; add flour, salt and pepper. Cook for a minute. Add milk gradually. Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and thick. Add cheese; stir well. Cook macaroni; spoon half into butter 2-quart baking dish. Add half the cheese sauce and repeat. Bake in moderate 350° oven until mixture bubbles and is slightly browned on top. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
