Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- shredded carrots - 1/2 c
- egg white - 1 item
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- diced celery - 1 item
- shredded cabbage - 1 c
- dash of black pepper - 1 item
- shredded lean pork, beef or chicken
- egg roll wrappers about 30 - 1 pkg
How to make lumpia:
Gravy: Mix soy sauce, cornstarch, salt and pepper.Filling: Stir-fry all meat and vegetables in 2 tablespoons oil for 5 minutes. Add gravy and cook an additional 1 minute. Cool and drain.
Paste: Mix flour and egg white.
For each lumpia, roll filling with completely defrosted egg roll wrappers (uncooked side up) and seal end with paste. Deep fry (375°) in 2-inches of hot oil. Makes about 30.
