Ingredients/Components
- new potatoes - 3 lb
- medium shrimp - 3 lb
- smoked link sausage, cut in pieces
- small ears corn - 12 item
- whole carrots, quartered - 2 lb
- whole medium yellow onions, peeled - 4 item
- stalks celery, quartered - 4 item
- any shell fish optional - 1 item
- bags crab boil - 3 item
How to make low country boil:
Fill 4 to 5 gallon stock pot 3/4 full of water. Put in bags of crab boil when water boils. Add sausage and all vegetables. Cook until vegetables are tender, approximately 45 minutes. Add shrimp and cook 5 additional minutes. Ladle out into a large serving dish and serve with French bread.This is a fun meal served inside or out on a table covered with newspaper with lots of friends.
