Louisiana beef stew
Ingredients/Components
- chuck roast, cubed - 3 lb
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- celery salt - 1/2 tsp
- garlic salt - 1/4 tsp
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- bacon fat or shortening - 2 Tbsp
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- onions, sliced - 3 item
- red wine vinegar - 1/3 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- to 8 carrots, diced - 6 item
- raisins - 1/2 c
How to make louisiana beef stew:
Combine flour and seasonings and sprinkle on beef cubes. Brown in hot fat. Add tomatoes, onions, vinegar and molasses. Bring to boil. Simmer for 2 hours then add carrots and raisins.
