Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1/2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onion, sliced - 1 item
- beef liver - 1 lb
- bacon fat or vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
How to make liver and onions:
Season liver with salt and pepper. Roll in flour. Heat the bacon fat or vegetable oil in skillet. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Remove liver from skillet. Brown onions in the fat. Return liver to skillet and add water gradually. Stir constantly for 5 minutes.Recipe categories: Beef, Beef organ meats, Beef liver.
