Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- softened butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- applesauce - 3/4 c
- melted butter or margarine
How to make little applesauce muffins:
Topping:1/4 c. melted butter or margarine1/2 c. sugar1/4 tsp. cinnamon Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in applesauce. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture; stir just until moistened. Spoon into 36 greased tea-size muffin cups. Bake at 425° about 15 minutes or until brown. While warm, dip tops into melted butter and sugar and cinnamon which has been mixed together. Serve warm; 83 calories per muffin, 4 g fat, 26 mg cholesterol with butter, 18 mg with margarine.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Muffins.
