Ingredients/Components
- onion, diced - 1 item
- carrots, diced - 3 item
- potato, diced - 1 item
- bacon, chopped - 1/2 lb
- stalks celery, diced - 3 item
- lentils - 1 item
- ham, chopped - 1 sausage
- small can peeled tomatoes - 1 item
How to make lentil soup:
Fry bacon and onion until golden brown. Add carrots, celery and potato. Stir for 5 minutes. Add peeled tomatoes, lentils and ham or sausage. Add enough water to cover. Let simmer for 4 hours.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Soups & stews, Pork.
