Lemon upside-down cake
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- whipped cream - 1 item
- hot water - 3/4 c
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- grated lemon peel - 1 tsp
- Glaze - 1 item
- lemon pudding cake mix - 1 item
- very thin lemon slices from 2 lemons - 14 item
- Put lemon slices into pan
How to make lemon upside-down cake:
Grease 9 x 13-inch pan. Put lemon slices into pan. Pour half of glaze over lemon slices. Make cake according to directions. Pour over lemon slices. Bake until done, about 35 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Turn onto serving dish. Serve warm with glaze on top of whipped cream.Glaze:1 c. sugar2 Tbsp. cornstarch1/4 tsp. salt3/4 c. hot water3 Tbsp. lemon juice1/4 c. butter1 tsp. grated lemon peel In small pan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
