Lemon tea bread
Ingredients/Components
- softened butter - 1/3 c
- sugar - 1 c
- lemon extract - 3 Tbsp
- eggs - 2 item
- flour
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- grated lemon peel
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- lemon juice
How to make lemon tea bread:
Lemon Glaze:1/4 c. lemon juice1/2 c. sugar Prepare glaze and set aside. Cream first 3 ingredients until fluffy. Add eggs. Beat until blended. In another bowl, mix dry ingredients. Alternate, adding 1/3 dry ingredients and 1/3 of milk to batter until mixed. Fold in pecans and lemon peel.Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Remove and immediately pour Lemon Glaze on top. Let stand for 15 minutes. Turn out onto rack to cool.
