Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- powdered sugar - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 6 Tbsp
- pecans, coarsely chopped - 1 c
How to make lemon squares:
Preheat oven to 325°. Grease a 10 x 14-inch pan. Mix butter, powdered sugar and 2 cups of flour. Press into pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Beat eggs slightly. Add 2 cups sugar, lemon juice, 1 tablespoon flour, baking powder and nuts. Pour over pastry. Bake 40 to 50 minutes. Dust with additional powdered sugar. Cool and cut into squares.
