Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • flour - 2 c
  • confectioners sugar - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • lemon juice - 6 Tbsp
  • melted butter or margarine - 1 c

How to make lemon squares:

Mix butter, flour and confectioners sugar. Pat in 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350°.

Beat eggs, flour, sugar, baking powder and lemon juice. Pour over hot crust. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched lightly in center. Cool. Cut in squares.

Optional: Sprinkle with confectioners sugar after taken from oven.
