Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
- margarine - 3 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 3/4 c
How to make lemon sponge pie:
Cream the margarine; add sugar and egg yolks. Mix in the lemon juice, flour and milk. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake 10 minutes at 400°, then 35 minutes at 350°. Makes one 9-inch pie. Double all ingredients except lemon juice for 2 pies.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
