Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- melted butter - 3 Tbsp
- juice and grated rind of 1 lemon 1 1/2 small lemons
How to make lemon sponge pie:
Mix sugar and flour thoroughly. Stir in the juice and rind of lemon and yolks of eggs. Add melted butter and milk. Add beaten egg whites with wire whip. Bake 45 minutes in slow oven, 325°, using 9-inch pie shell, "raw."Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
