Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- slightly beaten egg yolks - 3 item
- stiffly beaten egg whites - 3 item
- juice and rind of 1 lemon
How to make lemon sponge pie:
Mix the flour and sugar together and the lemon juice and rind, egg yolks, butter and salt. Stir in milk and mix. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into first mixture. Bake at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
