- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1/3 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- margarine - 1 c
- lemon flavoring - 1 Tbsp
- Icing:1 box powdered sugar
- fresh frozen coconut - 1 item
How to make lemon pound cake:
Icing:1 box powdered sugar1/3 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese fresh frozen coconut Cream sugar, shortening and margarine. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Add flour, flavoring and milk; beat until creamy. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until brown at 325°. Do not preheat oven. Cool before icing.Icing: Beat margarine and cream cheese until creamy. Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add flavoring. Spread on cooled cake. Sprinkle with coconut. Keep in a cool place.
