Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- large eggs - 5 item
- Crisco - 1/4 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
- plain flour, sifted
- self-rising flour, sifted - 1/2 c
- almond or lemon flavoring - 2 tsp
How to make lemon pound cake:
Cream butter and Crisco good. Add sugar a little at a time, then add eggs, one at a time. Then add flour and milk alternating. Add vanilla and lemon flavorings. Place in pound cake Bundt pan, greased and floured. Bake at 325° in preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
