- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 2
- poppy seed - 1/4 c
- grated lemon peel - 4 tsp
- all-purpose cake flour - 3 c
- In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter; add eggs
How to make lemon poppy seed pound cake:
Preheat oven to 325°. In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter; add eggs. Mix dry ingredients. Add flour and milk alternately, then flavoring. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove and cool completely.
