  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • baking powder
  • all-purpose flour
  • lemon juice
  • poppy seed - 2 Tbsp
  • grated lemon peel - 1 Tbsp
  • Land O Lakes butter, softened - 1 c
  • Land O Lakes butter, melted - 3 Tbsp

How to make lemon poppy seed bread:

Glaze:1/3 c. sugar3 Tbsp. Land O Lakes butter, melted1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice Heat oven to 350°. For bread, grease bottom only of 4 (5 1/2 x 3-inch) mini-loaf pans. In large mixer bowl, combine all bread ingredients. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed, 2 to 3 minutes. Pour into prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

For glaze, in small bowl, stir together all glaze ingredients. Pour over warm bread loaves. Cool 10 minutes. Loosen edge of loaves with knife; remove from pans. Makes 4 mini loaves.
