  • can Eagle Brand milk - 1 item
  • ReaLemon juice - 1/2 c
  • eggs, separated - 2 item
  • box vanilla wafers - 1 item
  • pinch of soda - 1 item
  • sugar - 1/3 c

How to make lemon pie:

Crust: Beat vanilla wafers up (in blender) to fine crumbs and pour into pie dish. Line sides of dish with vanilla wafers (whole).

Mix milk and egg yolks well; add lemon juice. Stir until firm. Pour into pie shell; top with meringue.

Meringue: Put pinch of soda in egg whites and beat until stiff. Gradually add 1/3 cup sugar. Spread over pie mixture. Bake at 325° until lightly brown.
