Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 item
- flour
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- nuts - 1/2 c
- juice of 1 lemon
- rind of 1 lemon
How to make lemon nut bread:
Beat all together; add nuts and rind. Use long narrow loaf pan; line pan with waxed paper. Bake for 1 hour at 300°. Cool slightly for 5 or 10 minutes. Pour over while in pan, 1/3 cup sugar mixed with juice of 1 lemon. If regular bread pan is used, bake at 300° for 3/4 hour and 10 or 15 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Quick breads.
