Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- boiling water
- lemon juice - 1/3 c
- grated lemon rinds - 2 item
How to make lemon meringue pie:
Mix sugar, flour and salt. Add boiling water while stirring constantly, using high heat until mixture begins to thicken. Then cook slowly on low heat until thick. Add beaten egg yolks and cook 2 minutes longer at low heat. Add lemon juice and rind. Pour into a baked 9-inch pastry shell. Cover with meringue.Recipe categories: Pie, Pies and tarts, Cakes.
