Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- boiling water
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- grated lemon rind
How to make lemon meringue pie:
Blend egg yolks, cornstarch, salt, sugar, lemon rind and juice. Add to boiling water, stir over low heat until thick. Add butter. Pour into a baked pie crust; top with meringue made with egg whites. Return to oven to brown.Recipe categories: Pie, Pies and tarts, Cakes.
