Ingredients/Components
- can sweet condensed milk - 1 item
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- lemon juice - 1/2 c
- graham crackers, crushed
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- melted margarine - 3 Tbsp
- Topping:3 egg whites
How to make lemon icebox pie:
Crust:1 pkg. graham crackers, crushed2 Tbsp. sugar3 Tbsp. melted margarine Topping:3 egg whites6 Tbsp. sugar1 tsp. lemon juice Filling: Beat egg yolks until light yellow. Add to condensed milk. Add lemon juice; set aside.Crust: Crush the graham crackers. Add sugar and melted margarine; mix together. Press into 8 or 9-inch pie dish. Add filling.
Topping: Beat the egg whites. When foamy, add sugar and lemon juice; pour on top of pie. Bake at 375° until light brown. Cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
