Lemon delight pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- water - 2 c
- egg - 1 item
- cold milk - 1/2 c
- baked 8-inch pie shell - 1 item
- envelope Dream Whip mix - 1 item
- Jell-O lemon pie filling - 1 pkg
How to make lemon delight pie:
Combine pie filling mix, sugar and 1/4 cup water in saucepan. Blend in egg. Add remaining water. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a full boil and is thickened. Cool about 5 minutes, stirring once or twice. Measure one cup, cover and cool completely. Pour remaining filling into pie shell.Prepare dessert topping mix with milk and vanilla as directed on envelope, adding 2 tablespoons sugar. Blend 1 1/3 cups into cooled filling. Spoon over filling in pie shell. Chill thoroughly. Garnish pie with remaining topping.
