Ingredients/Components
- oil - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- maraschino cherries - 1 c
- pineapple chunks - 1 c
- skinned and boned chicken breasts, sliced into strips - 6 item
- lemons, sliced thin and quartered - 2 item
- Batter:3 parts flour to 1 part cornstarch
- Lemon Sauce: lemon juice, sugar and different fruit juices
- cornstarch-water base - 1 item
How to make lemon chicken:
Batter:3 parts flour to 1 part cornstarch1 egg1/2 tsp. baking powder1 c. oil Lemon Sauce: lemon juice, sugar and different fruit juices cornstarch-water base Dip chicken breasts into batter and deep fry until crisp. In a wok, quickly stir-fry crisp chicken strips with lemon wedges, cherries and pineapple chunks. Add 1 to 2 cups of lemon sauce. Stir quickly.
