- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 1/4 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- lemon rind - 4 tsp
- corn meal - 1 Tbsp
- 9-inch pie pastry
How to make lemon chess pie:
Line a 9-inch pie pan with pastry. Put in a large bowl sugar, flour and corn meal. Toss lightly with a fork. Add eggs (unbeaten), butter (melted), milk and lemon rind and juice. Beat with mixer until smooth and blended well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cut warm.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
