Lemon bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour
- confectioners sugar - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- grated lemon peel - 1 Tbsp
How to make lemon bread:
Glaze:2 Tbsp. lemon juice1/2 c. confectioners sugar In mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, lemon juice and lemon peel. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into creamed mixture alternately with milk. Pour into a greased 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Combine glaze ingredients.
