Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- margarine - 5 Tbsp
- nuts, chopped - 1/2 c
- juice of 1 lemon and peel
How to make lemon bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Cream the margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add milk and mix well. Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Add margarine and mix well. Stir until smooth. Add lemon juice, peel and nuts. Pour into greased pan and bake for 1 hour or until done.Make a glaze by mixing lemon juice and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar; spoon over hot bread when just taken out of oven. Lemon Bread freezes well.
