Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- eggs - 2 item
- flour
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- dash of salt - 1 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- lemon rind and juice - 1 item
- Topping: juice from 1 lemon
- powdered sugar - 1/3 c
How to make lemon bread:
Topping: juice from 1 lemon1/3 c. powdered sugar Cream sugar and butter. Beat eggs, add to mixture. Blend dry ingredients and add to mixture, also blending well. Add milk and continue to blend. Lastly, mix in lemon rind and juice. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Cool 5 minutes.Top with juice of lemon mixed with powdered sugar. Wrap in waxed paper.
