- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar
- nuts, chopped - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- lemon rind - 1 tsp
How to make lemon bread:
Glaze:1/3 c. powdered sugar3 Tbsp. lemon juice Mix butter, sugar and eggs together. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Toss together nuts, 1 tablespoon flour and lemon rind. Add to batter and pour in greased and floured loaf pan. Bake 1 hour. Poke holes in bread and pour glaze over bread.Glaze: Bring powdered sugar and lemon juice to boil.
