- eggs - 6 item
- flour - 4 c
- butter - 3/4 lb
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- pecans, chopped - 4 c
- candied cherries, chopped - 1/2 lb
- candied pineapple, chopped - 1/2 lb
- bottle pure lemon extract - 2 oz
How to make lemon bread:
Cream the butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients together (save 1/2 cup for dusting). Add flour gradually. Add lemon extract, fruits and nuts by hand. Grease and flour 4 loaf pans. Bake at 300° for 45 minutes. Test aftRecipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Oven.
