Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 6 Tbsp
- grated lemon rind optional - 1 item
How to make lemon bars:
Blend together the butter, flour and powdered sugar. Put mixture into a 9 x 13 x 2-inch cake pan. Put mixture into bottom only. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly browned. Meanwhile mix filling.Blend well the sugar, flour, baking powder, eggs, lemon juice and lemon rind. Spread over baked crust. Bake 25 minutes more at 350°. Cool and cut into squares. Dust with powdered sugar.
