Lemon barbecue sauce
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 2/3 c
- salt
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 c
- prepared mustard - 1/3 c
- large onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- Tabasco sauce - 1/2 tsp
- celery seed - 2 Tbsp
- bottle chili sauce - 1 oz
- bottle catsup about 2 c - 1 oz
- medium lemons, thinly sliced and seeds removed - 2 item
How to make lemon barbecue sauce:
Heat all ingredients to boiling in 3-quart pan. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered. Stir occasionally for 10 minutes. Serve hot over your favorite cooked meats or baste whatever you like to grill. Can be used on all meats and seafood. Cover and store in refrigerator for up to 1 week. For longer storage, remove lemon slices and store in fridge up to 1 month.
