Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt
  • flour
  • vegetable shortening - 1/2 c
  • skim milk - 1/4 c
  • mashed potatoes - 4 c

How to make lefse:

Mix first 5 ingredients together when warm. Cool and add flour. Make into round balls and roll thin on floured board. Bake on ungreased griddle at 400°. When done on one side, flip and cook on remaining side. Yield: 24. Protein 2 g, fat 3 g, calories 79. One serving = 1/2 bread starch exchange, 1/2 fat exchange.
