Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 1/4 c
- water - 4 c
- dried basil - 1 tsp
- potatoes, peeled and cubed - 2 item
- chicken flavored bouillon cubes - 3 item
- leeks, thinly sliced - 6 item
- slices bacon, coarsely chopped - 4 item
How to make leek soup:
Cook bacon in a Dutch oven over medium heat 5 minutes. Add leeks. Saute 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add water; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickenRecipe categories: Soups & stews, Onions, Stocks.
