Layered vegetable salad


Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- salad dressing
- can water chestnuts, drained and sliced - 1 oz
- large tomatoes, sliced - 2 item
- grated American cheese - 1 item
- head lettuce, torn into bite size pieces - 1 item
- hard-cooked eggs, sliced - 4 item
- slices bacon, cooked and quartered - 6 item
How to make layered vegetable salad:
In a large glass bowl, make an even layer of the lettuce. Mix onion and celery and sprinkle over. Sprinkle water chestnuts, then unthawed peas. Spread salad dressing evenly over top and sprinkle with sugar. Refrigerate overnight. Next day, layer remaining ingredients over salad dressing.
