- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- flour
- water
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- powdered sugar - 3/4 c
- white Karo - 2 Tbsp
- strawberries - 1 qt
- strawberry jello - 3 Tbsp
- carton Cool Whip
- clear gel - 3 Tbsp
How to make layered strawberry dessert:
Crust:2 1/2 c. flour1 Tbsp. sugar2 sticks margarine 2nd Layer:1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese3/4 c. powdered sugar Glaze:1 1/2 c. sugar1 1/2 c. water3 Tbsp. clear gel2 Tbsp. white Karo3 Tbsp. strawberry jello Crust: Blend crust ingredients like a pie crust. Press into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° about 15 minutes. Cool.2nd Layer: Blend together the cream cheese and powdered sugar; fold in Cool Whip. Spread on top of cooled crust.
Spread drained fruit on top of cream cheese layer.
Glaze: Combine glaze ingredients in a medium pan and cook until boiling and thickened. Cool and pour over fruit layer.
May top with Cool Whip, if desired.
