Ingredients/Components
- head iceberg lettuce, sliced - 1 item
- to 4 green onions, chopped - 3 item
- or more stalks of celery, chopped - 8 item
- can water chestnuts, chopped - 1 item
- bag frozen peas - 1 item
- fresh shredded parmesan cheese - 1 c
- Bacon bits - 1 item
- Spread dressing over top layer
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
How to make layered salad:
Layer a deep casserole dish starting with lettuce, then green onions, then celery, then water chestnuts, and finally peas. Spread dressing over top layer. Sprinkle parmesan over dressing. Garnish with bacon bits.Optional garnishes are hard boiled egg slices and tomatoes.Dressing:2 c. mayonnaise2 Tbsp. sugar1 tsp. seasoning salt (Johnny's)1/4 tsp. garlic powder Mix all ingredients together.
