Layered lettuce salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- pkg - 10 oz
- chopped onion - 1 item
- grated cheese - 4 oz
- mayonnaise - 2 c
- diced celery - 1 c
- chopped green peppers - 1/2 c
- hard-boiled eggs, sliced - 4 item
- head lettuce - 1 item
- slices fried bacon or bacon bits - 8 item
How to make layered lettuce salad:
Tear lettuce into small pieces and place in a 9 x 12-inch glass dish. Layer remaining ingredients in order given. Add sugar to mayonnaise; mix and spread over top as you would frost a cake. Top with grated cheese. Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours. You may garnish with additional bacon and parsley, if desired.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Pork.
