Layered cauliflower salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- mayonnaise or salad dressing - 1 c
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 1/3 c
- medium head cauliflower - 1 item
- bacon, cooked and crumbled - 1/2 lb
- medium purple onion, chopped - 1 item
- medium head iceberg lettuce, torn in small pieces - 1 item
How to make layered cauliflower salad:
Wash cauliflower and cut flowerets into bite size pieces. Layer lettuce, onion, cauliflower and bacon in a large bowl. Combine mayonnaise mixture evenly over top of salad, sealing to edge of bowl. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover salad tightly and chill 8 hours. Toss gently before serving. Yields 8 to 10 servings.Recipe categories: Salads, Vegetables, Cauliflower.
