  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • small curd cottage cheese - 3/4 c
  • red pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • crushed oregano - 1 tsp
  • Colby cheese, shredded
  • crushed basil - 1 tsp
  • to 10 lasagna noodles - 8 item
  • Cook noodles to package directions
  • jar undrained mushrooms - 1 1/2

How to make lasagna florentine:

Cook spinach to package directions until thawed. Cook noodles to package directions. Drain. Brown beef with onion and garlic salt. Drain. Reduce heat and to beef add tomato sauce, paste and water. Stir until smooth. Add remaining sauce ingredients. Simmer 20 minutes.

In a small bowl combine spinach, egg, cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, 1/3 cup Mozzarella cheese, 1/3 cup Colby cheese. Pour 1/2 of meat mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Cover with layer of noodles. Spread spinach mixture over noodles. Top with another layer of noodles, followed by remaining 1/2 meat sauce. Sprinkle the remaining Colby cheese and Mozzarella cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
