- grated Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- cottage cheese - 1 (16

- onion, diced - 1 item
- basil leaves - 1 tsp
- Italian sausage - 1 lb
- small can sliced mushrooms - 1 item
- large bag Mozzarella cheese - 1 item
- to 8 lasagna noodles - 6 item
- large jar extra thick Ragu spaghetti sauce - 1 item
- large can whole tomatoes, drained and crushed - 1 item
How to make lasagna:
Boil lasagna noodles in water according to directions on the box and drain. Cook ground beef, sausage and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until done and drain. In a large pan, combine Ragu spaghetti sauce, mushrooms, garlic powder, oregano, basil, whole tomatoes, ground beef and sausage. Heat over low heat.In a small bowl, beat egg, then add cottage cheese. Stir until mixed well. In a 13 x 9-inch baking pan, layer noodles and 1/2 of sauce, then all cottage cheese, then another layer of noodles and sauce. Layer the top with Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Bake in covered dish at 350° for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 25 minutes.
