Ingredients/Components
- salt
- hot water - 3 c
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- parsley - 3 tsp
- minced onion - 1/2 c
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- lasagna noodles - 1/2 lb
- sliced Mozzarella cheese - 3/4 lb
- Ricotta or cottage cheese - 1 lb
How to make lasagna:
Saute onions in hot oil until brown. Add beef. Cook until red color is lost. Mix garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, tomato paste, water and 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese. Simmer, covered, for 40 minutes. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and cover with cold water.Arrange 1/3 of meat sauce in 3-quart casserole or a 12 x 8-inch baking dish. Cover with a single layer of noodles, next Mozzarella, cottage cheese and then sprinkle with 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese. Repeat. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.
