Ingredients/Components
- salt
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- parsley flakes - 2 Tbsp
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- Italian sausage - 1 lb
- lasagna noodles - 10 oz
- can tomatoes - 1 lb
- whole basil - 1 Tbsp
- fresh Ricotta - 3 c
- Mozzarella, thin sliced - 1 lb
How to make lasagna:
Brown meat slowly. Spoon off excess fat. Add next 5 ingredients. Simmer 30 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles in a large amount of boiling, salted water until tender; drain and rinse.Combine remaining ingredients except Mozzarella. Place half of the noodles in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Spread with half of the Ricotta filling. Add half of the Mozzarella and half of the meat sauce. Repeat layers. Bake at 375° for about 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting into squares. Filling will set slightly.
