Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • salad oil - 1 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • minced onion - 1/4 c
  • Mozzarella cheese - 1 lb
  • lasagna noodles - 1/2 pkg
  • ground chuck - 1 lb
  • snipped parsley optional - 1/2 tsp
  • clove garlic or garlic salt - 1 item
  • carton Ricotta cheese - 1 item

How to make lasagna:

Early in the day in hot skillet, saute onion in salad oil. Add chuck. Cook until red color disappears. Mash garlic with salt or use garlic salt. Add to meat with pepper, oregano, parsley, tomatoes, tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese and simmer 30 minutes. Refrigerate (not necessary). Meanwhile, boil lasagna noodles in water and butter or as label directs. Drain and rinse in cool water.

In 10 x 6 x 2-inch pan arrange noodles, then 1/2 sauce, then a layer of Mozzarella, Ricotta and Parmesan. Repeat, ending with meat sauce and sprinkling of Parmesan. Bake for approximately 1 hour.
