Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- basil leaves
- dried parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- grated Mozzarella cheese - 1 lb
- lasagna noodles - 1/2 lb
- stewed tomatoes - 28 oz
How to make lasagna:
Brown beef and onion. Drain grease. Add next 8 ingredients and simmer for 25 minutes. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.In a 13 x 9-inch pan, spoon just enough sauce to cover the bottom. Lay 1/3 of the noodles next and then 1/3 of both cheeses. Add more sauce, 1/3 of the noodles and 1/3 of the cheeses. Spoon most of remaining sauce, last 1/3 of the noodles and sprinkle last 1/3 of cheese. Spoon last of sauce over all. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes, covered, and another 25 minutes, uncovered.
