Lasagna
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- parsley flakes - 2 Tbsp
- ground beef
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- basil leaves - 1/2 Tbsp
- Mozzarella cheese - 4 c
- small can tomato paste - 1 item
- large can tomato sauce - 1 item
- small can water - 1 item
- pieces lasagna noodles, cooked - 9 item
- chopped onions and garlic - 1/2 c
- carton Ricotta or cottage cheese - 1 item
How to make lasagna:
Cook noodles as directed on package. Break up and brown ground beef. Add onions and celery and 1 or 2 cloves of garlic. Add and keep on cooking tomato sauce and paste, water and seasonings. Heat. In medium bowl, mix cheese, slightly beaten egg and parsley.Layer ingredients: first tomato mixture, then noodles, then Ricotta mixture and then Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Bake at 375° for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool about 10 minutes before serving for easier cutting.
