Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ground beef - 2 lb
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- olive oil - 1/4 c
- tomato paste - 2 (6
- garlic cloves, minced - 2 item
- Mozzarella cheese, sliced - 1/2 lb
- dried basil - 1 tsp
- lasagna noodles, cooked - 1 pkg
- olives, sliced - 1 c
- 2 1/2 can tomatoes
How to make lasagna:
Brown meat in olive oil. Add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is transparent. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, basil, oregano, pepper and bay leaf. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Stir in olives. Spread 1/4 of sauce in baking dish. Cover with layer of cooked lasagna, arranging strips lengthwise in baking dish. Add layer of Mozzarella cheese, then a layer of Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with sliced ripe olives. Continue layering.
