Ingredients/Components

• egg whites - 5 item
• sugar - 2 c
• Crisco - 1 c
• sweet milk - 1 c
• plain flour - 1 c
• self-rising flour - 1 c
• vanilla - 2 tsp
• Frosting:6 egg yolks
• butter - 1/2 lb
• box raisins, ground up - 1 item
• coconut - 2 c
• pecans, ground - 3 c
• blackberry wine - 1/2 c

How to make lane cake:

Frosting:6 egg yolks1/2 lb. butter1 c. sweet milk1 tsp. vanilla1 box raisins, ground up2 c. coconut3 c. pecans, ground1/2 c. blackberry wine Cake: Cream together sugar and Crisco; add eggs, one at a time. Add milk and vanilla; blend well. Mix the flours together and blend into mixture. Makes 5 or 6 layers.

Frosting: Mix together egg yolks, butter, sugar, milk and vanilla. Cook over medium heat until slightly thick. Add raisins, coconut, pecans and wine. Blend well. Frost cake.
