Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 1 item
- water - 1 item
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- bay leaf - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- basil - 1 tsp
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- mushrooms - 1/2 c
- stalks celery, sliced - 2 item
- sherry - 1/2 c
- medium onion, cut in small wedges - 1 item
- lamb, cut in 1-inch cubes
- medium potatoes, pared and cut into cubes - 2 item
- medium carrots, scraped and sliced - 2 item
- can tomatoes, chopped add liquid also - 1 item
How to make lamb stew:
Brown lamb and garlic in hot oil. Add sherry and enough water to barely cover lamb, bay leaf, basil, oregano, pepper and allspice. Simmer 1 hour. Add rest of ingredients, except cornstarch and water, and simmer until vegetables are tender. If stew neeRecipe categories: Main dish, Lamb/sheep, Stew.
